you require:
Ingredients
to Make Crescent Apple Dumplings
- Unsalted butter, 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks), plus extra for the pan
- Two Granny Smith apples
- Two cans (8 oz) of crescent roll dough
- One cup (165 grams) of light brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
- Pure vanilla extract (1 tsp)
- A pinch of salt (kosher)
- 8 ounces of lime-lemon soda
- To serve, vanilla ice cream
Directions to Make Crescent Apple Dumplings
- Grease a large baking dish with butter and preheat the oven to 350°. Cut each apple into eight wedges after peeling and coreing it.
- Separate crescent roll dough into triangles. Roll one apple slice into a crescent triangle, beginning at the wider end. Continue with the remaining dough and apples. Put in the prepared pan.
- Cook the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring often, until the butter melts, about 5 minutes. Pour over apples.
- Try not to pour soda on top of the dumplings; instead, pour it around the pan's edges.
- Bake the dumplings for about 30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and thoroughly heated.
- Distribute the dumplings on each plate. From the pan over, spoon the sauce. Accompany the dish with ice cream.
