This is a delicious, easy-to-make, and substantial breakfast brownie. It is also free of dairy and gluten.

Ingredients to Make Breakfast Brownies


  • 1½ cups of oats that cook quickly
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of flax seed meal
  • Half a cup of all-purpose gluten-free baking flour
  • One teaspoon of baking powder
  • Half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • One mashed banana
  • 1/4 cup of rice milk
  • One egg
  • One teaspoon of vanilla extract

 

Directions to Make Breakfast Brownies


  • Turn the oven on to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease an 8 x 10-inch baking pan very lightly.
  • In a bowl, combine the oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, brown sugar, flax seed meal, and salt. In a different bowl, combine the banana, rice milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir the flour mixture into the banana mixture. Fill the baking pan with the batter.
  • A toothpick inserted in the center of the brownies should come out clean after about 20 minutes of baking in a preheated oven. Before serving, let the brownies cool for at least five minutes and cover the pan with a towel to retain moisture.
